Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why should we link back to your site? If you link to our site then several things happen to our mutual advantage. Our site will perform better on search engines bringing more traffic through our site which, in turn, means more traffic to your site as well. In addition, as our pagerank increases over time, your site will also benefit from being linked to ours. If you do not link back to us then your listings will still work however you will not benefit from us passing pagerank benefits to your site. In addition, sites that do link back will appear higher up the listings order.
2. What are articles and why should I be interested in them? Articles are a great way to drive more traffic to your site. By writing good copy and linking back to your site with some keyphrases, you will raise your profile on search engines and pass more traffic back to your site. However, please be aware that any articles that are considered 'spam' by our moderators will not be allowed to be published. Good copy always triumphs over spam!
3. What are Featured Listings and why should I pay for them? Featured listings appear at the top of the category they are in. We allow a maximum of 5 featured listings per category. This means that those featured listings will be much more prominent and therefore attract a greater click-through rate than the free listings. We believe that a small monthly charge for this is appropriate.
4. Can I pay any other way than Paypal? Unfortunately, at this stage, Paypal is the only option. The system is secure and allows for certain features like 'subscription' whereby you can set your monthly payments to be automatically sent until you decide to stop them. This way, your listings are always featured. Paypal now accepts credit / debit cards from customers who do not have a Paypal account.
5. My site thumbnail is missing / out of date. Can you update it please? We use a third party thumbnail site at http://www.thumbshots.org to generate our thumbnails. You can request an update via their site by clicking here. |
